LESSONS OF LEADERSHIP: FROM THE SEAT TO THE STAGE

Movement is the only antidote to stagnation.

One year ago, I was sitting in the audience at the Unstoppable Conference. I was a face in the crowd, listening to the stories of others, and feeling that distinct, persistent pull toward *more*. I knew I had a voice, but I was still negotiating with my own capacity.

Today, I am preparing to share that same stage with Amberly Lago.

The transition from the seat to the stage didn’t happen because I reached a state of perfect “healing.” It didn’t happen because I waited for every internal wound to close or for my health to be 100% predictable.

Leadership does not begin once everything is resolved.

If you are waiting for a perfect state of being before you step into your authority, you are participating in a **Decision Delay**. You are allowing your history to dictate your current momentum.

Resilience is not a destination. It is the active, messy, and often uncomfortable process of doing the work while you grow. It is about sharing the story while the ink is still wet.

I am grateful not because I am “healed,” but because I chose to stop negotiating with my standards. By connecting with Amberly and rooting in the truth of my own resilience, I moved from observation to contribution.

Leadership is about movement, not waiting. If you are still in the audience of your own life, it’s time to change your seat.
